Social Events

We’re already past the first two months of the season. Well done to everyone for getting the Club off to a goodish start. We’re sure the 2nd XI will catch up soon.

Social events off the field have also gone well. Our Awards for 2007 were presented on 10 May and thanks to Adrian Olsen for a great Quiz and to Lorraine for the Buffet on 17 May. Lorraine also provided a magnificent Mexican feast on 14 June. And thanks to Adrian and Pritch for the impromptu barbecues which are happening most other Saturday evenings at Saltcoats.

Next dates for your diaries:

· Saturday 5 July Sports Massage evening; ease away your after match aches, pains, niggles and injuries; 7pm onwards in Saltcoats Pavilion; plus barbecue

. Sunday 20 July 6-a side day at Saltcoats – more details nearer the day.

· Saturday 2 August [NB change of date from 19 July] there’ll be another Quiz & Buffet night – bookings will be taken for this nearer the time.

· Most other Saturdays there’ll be an informal barbecue after the home match has finished at Saltcoats

· Saturday 30 August is the last league day of the season and we’ll have our usual great end of season night at Saltcoats that evening. The 1st XI fines kitty is already building up so they’ll have a great night!

· And on Sunday 24 August we’ll be holding a Race Night at the Village Hall to follow a charity cricket match at the Village Hall earlier that afternoon – more details nearer the time.
